A possum at night at some more wildlife from Australia.

I spent two afternoons driving around Bruny Island

I spent two afternoons driving around Bruny Island looking for white wallabies and was lucky enough to spot one.

Having blue eyes and white fur they are not albinos but a subspecies of Bennets Wallaby that live exclusively on this tiny island to the south of Tasmania.

The one animal I really wanted to see in the wild

The one animal I really wanted to see in the wild was a tasmanian devil. We stayed in a hut in a place that is known for its devil sightings and I kept me awake for 5 consecutive nights trying to photograph one, but not one devil showed up.

Frustrated and tired as I was, I still did not give up and after seeing some devil footprints on the beach on Maria Island I kept checking the area at dawn and dusk and on our final evening I finally had the encounter I was hoping for. Luckily, the little guy stood still and allowed me to take a few handheld long exposures without any blur.
