Despite the harsh environment, I love shooting in

Despite the harsh environment, I love shooting in the desert. Nowhere will you find a more dynamic landscape that looks totally different with every hour that passes due to the sun's position and its creation of shadows in places where there were none just moments ago.

I found this beautiful and untouched sand dune only minutes before sunset and managed to position my tripod and find the right composition to capture this image just in time. Due to the elements the dune would have looked different the next day so in the desert you always have only one chance.

This image is available as a print in a limited edition of 30.

One of my favourite photos from Lencois Maranhense

One of my favourite photos from Lencois Maranhenses. It has been ranked 5th in over 700 photos in the travel photography contest organized by @thevoyager_de magazine, has been published there and will be presented to a wider public on the @berlintravelfestival from December 1st to 3rd.

On top of that this photo is one of the finalists of the Travel Photographer of the Year contest. The final judging is still due so wish me luck.

This is probably the most beautiful place on Earth

This is probably the most beautiful place on Earth that you have not heard about.
Lencois Maranhenses is a desert of powdery white sand dotted with natural pools of green and blue water. These pools are the result of rainfall and dry up completely towards the end of the dry season, which means that the landscape is constantly changing.
You are looking at a drone shot from about 200m height. In the coming days I will show you some more photos of this beautiful landscape.
